1996 - BABS Convention, Bournemouth. Fourth place. CCC won the Small Chorus Trophy.
1996 - Sainsbury's Choir of the Year (SCOTY) preliminary round - St John's Church, London - Won category and awarded title: 'Sainsbury's Choir of the Day' .
1996 - SCOTY, Buxton. Our song set was well received. Howard Goodall, BBC presenter, described the CCC performance of Shangri-La as "deliciously intimate". Unfortunately this was not enough to progress in the competition.
1996 - IABS, Cork. Second place to Grand Central Chorus in Barbershop Harmony International section.
1997 - BABS Convention, Brighton. Second place and won the Small Chorus Trophy.
1997 - An invitation by the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers, LABBS to appear on their shows.
1998 - Cork International Choral Festival. We sang on various shows over the weekend, in several bars and in a fish market!
1998 - BABS Convention, Harrogate. Second place. Won the Small Chorus Trophy for the sixth time - Cambridge Chord Company presented BABS with a new trophy to be awarded to the most improved chorus,
called The Cambridge Scroll.
The first winner of this award was Kings of Herts chorus from Harpenden.
1998 - Sligo International Music Festival. Won Barbershop category and Single Voice category.
1999 - BABS Convention, Blackpool. To commemorate the BABS silver jubilee celebration there were no preliminary rounds so there were over 30 choruses competing. CCC won Gold with over 80% of the available mark.
1999 - IABS Convention Dublin.
Guests at the Irish Barbershop convention and appeared on national TV in Eire - RTE’s ‘The Late Late Show’.
1999 - An invitation to appear on the shows at the LABBS Convention.
2000 - Joint ladies and men's competition to celebrate the Millennium,
open to all British choruses. CCC won, becoming joint LABBS/BABS 'Millennium Chorus Champions'.
